Stone Pass was conceived for educational purposes by Dr. Andrew Portis.

Dr. Portis is a board-certified urologist specializing in stone disease since 2000. He established the HealthEast Kidney Stone Institute in St. Paul, MN, USA and facilitated the nation's pioneering Joint Commission Disease-Specific Care Certification in kidney stone disease in 2013. With Stone Pass, Dr. Portis shares insights gained from treating over 15,000 patients grappling with decisions regarding their kidney stones.

Source Data

The outcomes drawn from more than 1,600 patients are routinely reported to the Joint Commission as part of Disease-Specific Certification in Kidney Stone Disease. These outcomes have been anonymized and meticulously presented within this application for easy accessibility.

The Patient-Reported Outcome Measurement Information System (PROMIS®) Pain Intensity scale 3a v1.0 has been seamlessly integrated into the app with authorization from HealthMeasures.
